Sentences Handed Down for Knife Offenders
Moreno, once of Aldfield Way, pleaded guilty to carrying a bladed weapon and was jailed for 18 months. He also received five years for attempted wounding on the same night. Both sentences will run at the same time.
Ramsey, formerly of Andover Street, was sentenced to six years for his part in the street party fracas.
Ramsey’s Dark Past: Stabbing After Crash
On top of this, Ramsey picked up an extra eight years after being found guilty of wounding with intent following a brutal attack on December 20, 2019.
After a minor car crash in Gower Street, Burngreave, Ramsey stabbed the other, unarmed driver four times. The victim suffered serious injuries, including a collapsed lung, requiring emergency hospital treatment.
All sentences for Ramsey will run concurrently, meaning he faces a lengthy jail term behind bars.
