Teenager Stabbed Eight Times in Shocking Wolverhampton Murder

Omari Lauder and Mpho Obi Convicted After Three-Week Trial
Omari Lauder, 24, from Darlaston, and Mpho Obi, 22, from Merry Hill, were convicted today at Wolverhampton Crown Court following a tense three-week trial. Both denied charges of murder and possession of an offensive weapon until the verdict.
Obi had previously admitted to possessing heroin and cannabis with intent to supply. Lauder was found not guilty on those drug charges. Sentencing for both men is set for July 1.
Knife Attack Unfolded in Terrifying Flat Assault
The horrific attack occurred when the men, armed with the Rambo knife, confronted Terrell at his flat. Despite paramedics’ desperate efforts to save him, Terrell died at the scene.
After the murder, Lauder tried to flee but left a trail of blood to his front door and had attempted first aid on himself. Obi brazenly messaged about the stabbing shortly after the attack.
Police Crack Down on Knife Crime
“This was a brutal crime. We hope today’s conviction brings some closure to Terrell’s family,” said Detective Inspector Dan Jarratt. “West Midlands Police remain committed to tackling knife violence across our communities.”
Terrell’s tragic death highlights the deadly impact of knife crime and the urgent need for stronger efforts to stop it spreading.
