Two More Men Charged Over Deadly Henley Road Shooting
Zain Mirza, 20, from Newham, and Mahad Gouled, 21, from Enfield, have been charged with two counts of murder and one of attempted murder. They appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 29 November, and were remanded in custody to return on 10 February 2023.
Tragic Shooting Leaves Two Dead, One Seriously Injured
Police were called just after midnight on Tuesday, 25 October, following reports of a shooting at a house on Henley Road. Armed officers and paramedics found three men with gunshot wounds.
- Saydi Abu Sheikh, 23, of Ilford, died at the scene.
- Zakariya Jeilani Mohamed, 32, also from Ilford, was pronounced dead on site.
- A 30-year-old man was rushed to hospital and remains in serious but stable condition.
Specialist officers continue to support the families of all victims as the investigation unfolds.
Additional Suspects Nabbed in Same Harrowing Case
Earlier arrests saw Ayaani Ali Adan, 19, of Barking, and Ayman Abasheikh, 18, of Romford, charged with:
- Two counts of murder
- One count of attempted murder
- Possession with intent to supply Class B drugs
- Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Possession of a knife in public
- Possession of ammunition without a certificate
They appeared at the Old Bailey on 16 November and were remanded to appear again on 14 December.
