Two Men Arrested Over Fatal NW8 Stabbing
Hamza Elchgar, 18, from St Elmo Road, W12, and Christian Peterkin, 19, who has no fixed address, faced Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 8 December. They are charged with the murder of 21-year-old Oman Abdullah and the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man.
Deadly Stabbing Rocks Gayhurst House
The shocking attack happened around 3.20pm on Monday, 28 November at Gayhurst House on Mallory Street, NW8. Police rushed to the scene after reports of a stabbing. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, Omar Abdullah, 21, was pronounced dead on the spot.
Suspects Caught at Heathrow Airport
Both suspects were arrested at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, 6 December, sparking a swift police investigation. They remain in custody and are set to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 12 December.
Omar’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
The 20-year-old victim was hospitalised with stab wounds and remains under medical care. Police continue their investigation into the brutal incident.
