Two Teens Nabbed with Gun, Ammo and Zombie Knife in Minicab Sting
Two teenagers face jail after armed cops stop minicab and find deadly weapons on board.
Minicab Stop Leads to Shocking Find
On the night of Thursday, 19 March, armed police swooped on a minicab in Tilley Lane, Epsom, stopping it as part of a crackdown on firearm offences.
Inside, 18-year-olds Patrick Santos and Jordan Carr were caught red-handed with a revolver, ammunition, and a zombie knife.
Guilty Pleas Entered at Croydon Crown Court
Santos, from Rose Lane, admitted to possessing a prohibited weapon and ammo without a certificate on Wednesday, 13 May.
Carr, from Palmerston Road, Enfield, earlier pleaded guilty to carrying a bladed article in public.
Both teens will be sentenced at Croydon Crown Court soon, with dates still to be confirmed.
Detective Inspector Vows to Clean Up the Streets
“These dangerous weapons could have seriously injured or killed someone,” said Detective Inspector Glenn Butler of Specialist Crime. “The Met is relentless in tackling violent crime, even in tough times. We’ll keep removing weapons and bringing criminals to justice.”
The teens’ arrest and convictions mark a significant win for officers determined to keep deadly weapons off London’s streets.
