Two Teens Busted in High-Stakes Hacking Sting by City Police

City of London Police Crack Down on Cybercrime

The City of London Police have swooped on a hacking crew, charging two teenagers aged 16 and 17. Both teens remain in custody as the investigation heats up.

Serious Charges for Serious Hacking

Detective Inspector Michael O’Sullivan confirmed the charges today:

  • Three counts of unauthorised access to a computer with intent to impair data reliability
  • One count of fraud by false representation
  • One count of unauthorised access intending to hinder data access
  • Plus, the 16-year-old faces an extra charge for causing a computer to execute unauthorised access

Court Appearance Scheduled

The teens are set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court this morning (1 April 2022). Police continue their crackdown on cyber offenders targeting vital data.
