Two Teens Jailed for Brutal Stabbing in Acton Gang Attack
Knives, Drugs, and Violence on The Vale
Thiago Andrade, 18, and Yusef Ahmed, 18, both from Acton, have been locked up following a brutal stabbing on The Vale, Uxbridge Road. Andrade got six years for grievous bodily harm (GBH) and carrying a deadly blade. Ahmed landed an even stiffer sentence – eight years for GBH, blade possession, and dealing Class A drugs.
Chased Down and Stabbed Multiple Times
The sick attack happened on 24 January when Andrade and Ahmed spotted a man outside a restaurant. The pair whipped out large knives and gave chase. When they caught him, they stabbed the man multiple times.
As if that wasn’t enough, they tried to sneak past witnesses, hiding the weapons and covering their faces. The victim, injured but defiant, stumbled back to the restaurant where strangers gave first aid and flagged down police.
Victim Silent, But CCTV Leads to Arrests
The victim refused to co-operate, suggesting this was a gang-related hit. Police pushed ahead regardless with a victimless prosecution. CCTV caught both attackers on camera. Andrade was nabbed on 9 February.
Ahmed fled the country right after the stabbing but was arrested in portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth on 5 April for supplying drugs. This led police to uncover a wider county lines drug ring.
County Lines Drug Dealer Caught and Sentenced
Abdihakim Odasuge, 18, also from Acton, was caught in Portsmouth with heroin, cocaine, and £1,200 cash. He got two years for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, linked to Ahmed’s operation.
Detective Constable Tom Henley said: “We hope these convictions deter other young gang members from following this path, making our streets safer. Gang crime needs to be tackled hard.”
