Teens Arrested After Shocking Stabbing and Shooting in Dagenham
Two 17-year-old boys have been arrested in Kent over a brutal attack in Dagenham where a man was both stabbed and shot.
Arrests Made in Kent
On Friday, May 10, detectives swooped in Ashford, Kent, arresting the teenagers on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. They remain in Kent custody but are set to be transferred to London for questioning.
Victim Ambushed While Cycling
Detective Inspector Iain Wallace of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command revealed chilling details: “The victim, a 19-year-old man, was riding his bike when a group of men pulled up in three cars and launched a violent ambush.”
“This wasn’t a disagreement or a fight, it was an ambush that has left a 19-year-old fighting for his life.”
Police have made several arrests already but are still urging anyone with information to come forward.
Incident Details and Ongoing Investigation
- The attack happened at around 5:20pm on Thursday, May 2, in Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham.
- Police first responded to reports of a stabbing, then gunshots were heard shortly after.
- The victim was found with stab wounds and gunshot injuries and remains in critical condition in hospital. Next of kin have been informed.
- Earlier, five people aged 18 to 25, including a woman, were also arrested but later released on bail pending further inquiries.
