Brutal Harlesden Bullying: Trio Jailed for Sickening Yoghurt and Washing-Up Liquid Ordeal
Victim Lured and Humiliated
Toni Thompson, 26, and Phoebe Hing, 21, lured their 27-year-old victim to their flat in Harlesden on 31 October 2019. What followed was a degrading, violent rampage. The victim was forced to lick yoghurt off the floor and drink washing-up liquid. Mould spray was blasted in her face, and food was poured over her head and face.
Violence and Filming
The abuse didn’t stop there. The victim was punched, kicked, and subjected to a cold shower while still fully clothed. She was then forced to clean the flat with a vacuum.
Liam O’Neill, 22, filmed the entire ordeal but did nothing to intervene. The disturbing videos were later posted on the defendants’ social media accounts, turning private torment into public humiliation.
Threats and Arrests Follow
After five hours of hell, the victim was allowed to leave but warned she’d face more violence if she involved the police. Despite this, she bravely reported the crime days later.
- O’Neill was arrested on 14 November 2019.
- Thompson was arrested on 24 November, defiantly claiming the victim “never said she wanted to leave.”
- Hing was arrested on 3 December and dismissively questioned whether the victim had cut her own hair during the attack.
Sentencing and Justice Served
On Thursday 26 August 2021 at Harrow Crown Court, all three were sentenced to two years in prison:
- Toni Thompson: Guilty of false imprisonment and assault causing actual bodily harm.
- Phoebe Hing: Guilty of false imprisonment and assault causing actual bodily harm.
- Liam O’Neill: Guilty of intentionally encouraging or assisting in the offence.
Raj Clare, CPS prosecutor, said: “This was an unprovoked, cruel and sickening attack on a woman by people she considered friends. Thompson and Hing took pleasure in humiliating her. O’Neill filmed the assaults without intervening – his role was key as the videos went viral and caused psychological harm.
The victim described feeling like an animal. The incident left her traumatised. I commend her bravery in reporting this crime. We hope these convictions bring her some comfort. The CPS will always act against those who break the law in such a vile way.”
An indefinite restraining order now bars the defendants from contacting the victim.
