Man Shot in Broad Daylight in Hornsey Rise Gardens

Gunshots rang out at 4.24pm on Tuesday, 8 June, in Hornsey Rise Gardens, N19, sparking a major police response. Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

A man was discovered with a serious gunshot wound to the face and rushed to hospital.

Suspect Arrested Over Weapon Possession

Witnesses horrified as victim’s face was reportedly “blown apart” in broad daylight. Police quickly arrested a man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He is now in custody.

Crime Scene Ongoing, Section 60 In Place

The area remains sealed off while investigations continue. Authorities have authorised a Section 60 stop and search across much of Islington borough to curb further violence.
