Officer Stabbed in Shocking Lewisham Attack
A police officer was knifed in the arm and neck during a dramatic early-hours incident in Lewisham, south-east London. The attacker, 31-year-old Venice Burgess from Courthill Road, now faces serious charges including attempted murder.
Violent Assault While on Duty
The officer was called to a reported assault at a Lewisham home just after 12:30am on Monday. While responding, he was stabbed but luckily suffered non-life threatening wounds.
