Basement Stash Blocked Off with Furniture
The operation targeted a property on Trinity Road, where the basement entrances were cleverly barricaded with furniture. Police forced their way through a locked door and found roughly 250 mature plants and 250 young ones, along with fertiliser, heat lamps, and ventilation gear.

- Mikel Buzi, 27, and Asllan Cenaj, 31, both homeless, were spotted trying to flee the scene but were stopped and arrested—with help from a police dog.
- At Canterbury Crown Court on 17 September, Buzi was jailed for two years and three months; Cenaj got two years.
- Cenaj admitted he was paid to tend the crop, while Buzi claimed he was working off a debt.
Police Clamp Down on Drug Networks
“Kent Police is determined to keep drug dealing networks out of the county and disrupt and shut down any activity we hear of,” PC Harry Russell said. “I am pleased this operation has prevented a criminal group from profiting from this site. I urge anyone who thinks drugs may be being produced or dealt in their area to contact Police.”
