Teen Threat in Burgess Hill: 14-Year-Old Robbed and Assaulted

A 14-year-old boy was robbed and attacked by a teenage acquaintance in Burgess Hill, Sussex Police have revealed. The shocking incident took place around 4:30 PM on Thursday, 28th December, on Park Road.

Demanded Cash and Vape Before Violence Erupted

The assailant, a fellow teen known to the victim, demanded cash and a vape device. When the victim refused, the situation turned violent. The assault only stopped when a bystander stepped in. Police confirmed the victim was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been discharged.

Police Step Up Patrols, Arrest Made

In response, officers increased patrols across the area to tackle violent crime head-on. A breakthrough came on Tuesday, 2nd January, when a 15-year-old boy from Burgess Hill was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail pending further investigation.
