Wolves Gunmen Jailed for 78 Years After Terrifying Street Shooting
Street Shooting Horror Rocks Wolverhampton
Two men from Wolverhampton have been locked up for a combined 78 years after a chilling shooting spree left three women seriously injured. On the night of 27 September 2024, Shaun Andrews, 24, and DeShaun White, 22, sprayed bullets from a black Seat Ibiza at a group outside a bar on Frederick Street.
Desperate Police Hunt Ends with Dramatic Arrests
After the terrifying attack, the shooters sped off along Compton Road heading towards Nottingham. Police soon tracked the car as it returned near Wolverhampton. Just two days later, officers stopped the vehicle on Parkfield Road, close to Birmingham New Road.
- DeShaun White, the car’s registered owner and driver, was arrested at the scene.
- Shaun Andrews fled north to Scotland but was caught by police in Manchester.
Harsh Sentences Handed Down for Callous Crime
At Wolverhampton Crown Court on 26 February, the pair were slammed with long sentences: Andrews locked up for 40 years, White for 38. Both were convicted of three counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Detective Inspector Racheal Allen, from the Major Crime Unit, said: “The three women are sadly still continuing to recover from their injuries inflicted by the violence these two men unleashed. Gun crime is a danger we cannot tolerate on our streets. This sentencing sends a strong message that those who carry it out will be punished and spend many, many years behind bars.”
