Man Fatally Stabbed in St Helens Flat
A murder investigation is underway after a man in his 30s was found stabbed to death inside a St Helens flat late Friday night.
Police and Paramedics Rush to Scene
Merseyside Police were called to the address at around 10.25pm on May 2 following reports of a stabbing. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Woman Arrested and Held in Custody
A 39-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody as officers continue their probe.
Residents Disturbed by Emergency Response
Local residents reported hearing police sirens and witnessing a heavy emergency services presence around the flat. A crime scene has been set up and forensic teams are conducting detailed investigations.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that officers have arrested a woman on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a man in St Helens. The investigation is in the early stages, and we are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.”
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
