Woman Arrested Over Deadly Wimbledon School Crash Granted Bail
A Wimbledon woman arrested after a devastating crash at The Study prep school in South London has been re-bailed until January, police confirmed.
Tragic Crash Claims Two Young Lives
On July 6, a Land Rover smashed through a school fence and ploughed into the Wimbledon classroom. The horror claimed the lives of two eight-year-old girls, Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau. Sixteen others suffered injuries, including a seven-month-old baby rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
Investigation Underway, Bail Extended
The 46-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was initially held in custody but later released on bail. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s serious collision unit continue their probe into the heartbreaking incident.
Inquests Opened, Adjourned
Inquests into the deaths of Nuria and Selena have been opened but adjourned at Inner 123 court, leaving the community in shock.
