Walney Woman Jailed for Faking Abuse Claims and Evidence
A 22-year-old woman from Walney has been locked up for faking rape and trafficking accusations. Eleanor Williams, of Teasdale Road, pocketed eight convictions for perverting the course of justice, with a ninth already admitted before her January trial.
Wild Lies Collapsed Under Police Scrutiny
Williams spun alarming tales over three years, accusing multiple men of heinous crimes. But police investigations revealed her stories were full of holes.
- She claimed to have been kidnapped and abused, suffering injuries and carrying a mysterious bank card.
- Williams said she’d been snatched in a silver vehicle near a Barrow Tesco.
- Officers checked CCTV and found Williams herself bought the “abduction” weapon—a hammer—at Tesco using the very card she carried.
When confronted, Williams went silent, refusing to explain the glaring inconsistencies in her accounts, including transporting her to numerous locations across Blackpool for alleged sexual abuse – claims disproved by hotel records showing her stationary all night.
Shattered Amsterdam and Ibiza Trafficking Fantasy
Williams’ claims worsened, alleging she was trafficked to Amsterdam and forced into brothels, and even to Ibiza for forced sex. Police tracked her trips and found she travelled openly with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend, with no signs of abuse or separation.
When challenged, she confessed to lying about sneaking out alone at night. Flight manifests confirmed she never left with other young women to Ibiza as she claimed.
Justice Served: Eight-and-a-Half Years Behind Bars
After thorough investigation and a robust trial, Williams was found guilty and sentenced on 14 March to eight-and-a-half years in prison. Her fabricated nightmare wasted police resources and caused undue alarm in the community.
Detectives praised their team for unraveling the complex web of deceit, reminding all that false allegations can cause real harm.
