Motorbike Gang Snatches £10,000 Ring and £200 Watch in Shocking Twin Robberies

Detectives are hunting two brazen robbers on motorbikes after they snatched a £10,000 engagement ring and a £200 watch in separate attacks in London last weekend.

Woman Attacked and Robbed on Moscow Road

The first robbery happened around 7.30pm on Saturday, 19 June. A 27-year-old woman was walking along Moscow Road, Westminster, when two men on a motorbike began following her.

One of the suspects jumped off the bike near St Petersburg Place, grabbed the woman by the neck, and forced her to hand over her valuable three-stone ‘Blue Nile’ platinum diamond engagement ring. The pair then sped off towards Bayswater Road.

Second Snatch 25 Minutes Later in Kensington

Just 25 minutes later, at about 8pm, two men on a motorbike targeted a 45-year-old woman on Melbury Road, Kensington and Chelsea. One of the men leapt off, grabbed her from behind, and ripped off her £200 watch — a square silver and white-faced timepiece with a black strap and white stitching.

They then fled north along Melbury Road towards Holland Park.

Suspects and Stolen Items Described

  • The ring thief wore black clothes and a black crash helmet.
  • The driver is described as a black male in a black crash helmet, white t-shirt, blue jeans, and green trainers.

Police Appeal for Help

Detective Constable Dan Jones of the Met’s Westminster Serious Crime Unit said: “These men targeted and attacked two women to snatch sentimental belongings. Both victims were left extremely shaken. If you saw anything or know who these males are, please get in touch.”
