Girl, 11, Bitten by Dog in East London Attack

Police rushed to Byron Drive at 1.40pm yesterday after reports that an 11-year-old girl had been attacked by a dog.

Emergency Response at Scene

Armed officers and the London Ambulance Service were quick to arrive. The young victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Injuries Not Life-Threatening

Thankfully, medics confirmed her injuries were neither life-threatening nor life-altering. No one else was hurt in the incident.

Perpetrator Held and Dog Taken Away

  • The dog was restrained and removed from the home.
  • A woman at the scene was arrested for obstructing police and controlling an out-of-control dog.
