Teen Hit by Car on Burnbank Road: Police Hunt Witnesses
Serious Crash on Burnbank Road
Police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was struck by a car on Burnbank Road on the evening of Friday, January 20, 2023. The crash happened around 8 p.m. when a Renault Clio, driven by a 32-year-old man, hit the pedestrian.
Teen Rushed to Hospital
Paramedics quickly took the injured teenager to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Staff described his condition as serious. Thankfully, the driver and his two passengers escaped unharmed.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Sergeant Craig McDonald said, “I would ask anyone who witnessed this event and has not yet spoken to police to contact us.” He also wants dashcam footage from anyone driving nearby at the time.
