Cyclist Seriously Injured in Rush Hour Collision in Fareham

Police are hunting witnesses after a 34-year-old cyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash with a blue Ford Transit van in Fareham.

The smash happened at 8.20am yesterday (25 July) on Peak Lane during the busy morning rush hour. The cyclist, from Fareham, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital and remains in a serious condition. The van driver, 39, also from Fareham, was unhurt.

Call for Witnesses After Morning Crash

PC Sarah McEwen of Havant Roads Policing Unit said: “This happened during the morning rush hour so we know that there were a lot of vehicles around. Did you see either vehicle prior to the collision or did you see the collision? We’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen something but haven’t yet come forward. You could have crucial information that helps our investigation.”
