Biker Hurt in Horror Crash with Car on Bishopsfield Road, Fareham
A motorcyclist is fighting for recovery after a shocking smash with a car on Bishopsfield Road, Fareham. Emergency crews raced to the scene just after 7.20pm on Friday.
Smash Causes Road Closure
The collision, involving a motorbike and a blue car, forced police to shut part of Bishopsfield Road. Witnesses reported seeing the biker being thrown violently into the air, hitting the front of the car with such force it shattered the windscreen.
“I hope the lad is alright, it was a very upsetting thing to watch. It all happened so quickly,” said a local resident.
Emergency Response and Delays
A Solo rapid response paramedic was first on scene, treating the rider while waiting for an ambulance. The ambulance arrival was delayed due to availability issues.
Fire crews from Fareham attended, but their role was limited to securing the area; no further action was required, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Police Update on Injuries
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary stated the rider’s injuries are not believed to be serious, though the biker remains in hospital.
