Cops Crack Down After Neighbourhood Complaints
Police swooped this morning (26/11) at Quarryfields Industrial Estate after locals complained of a strong cannabis smell drifting from a container unit. Officers were tipped off about suspected drug activity on site.
One Arrest Made in Cannabis Drug Raid
A man is now in custody at Melksham Police Station. He faces charges of possessing a Class B drug and involvement in the cultivation and supply of cannabis. Police remain at the unit to secure the scene and gather evidence.
Police Warn on Cannabis: Illegal and a Nuisance
Sergeant Kevin Harmsworth from the Warminster Community Policing Team said: “Some people don’t see cannabis as harmful, but it’s illegal. Its cultivation and supply bring major trouble for our communities—especially the smell and related crime.”
He urged the public to report anyone involved in drug activity immediately by calling 101, or dial 999 if a crime is happening right now.
