Midnight Drama at Middleton Green Park: Man Seen Wielding Weapon Sparks Police Hunt
Public Panic as Weapon-Wielding Man Spotted at Dusk
Police were flooded with calls and tagged in social media videos after a man was spotted suspiciously roaming around Middleton Green Park, E2, at about 7pm on Sunday, 21 July.
Officers raced to the scene, but the man vanished before they arrived. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far.
Suspect Nabbed in Connection With Offensive Weapon and Drug Supply
After combing through footage and eyewitness accounts, cops identified a 25-year-old man. He was arrested on Tuesday, 23 July, on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and involvement in drug supply.
The suspect remains in custody as inquiries continue.
