Woman Seriously Injured After Stolen Car Leads Police to Shocking Attack
Leicestershire Police are hunting for answers after a woman was left seriously injured in a violent attack linked to a stolen car. The drama unfolded on Copt Oak Road, Copt Oak, where two men and a woman turned up on Wednesday after hearing the missing vehicle – belonging to one of the men – had been found.
The Stolen Car and Missing Dog
The car in question was reported stolen with a black and ginger lurcher named Duke inside. While the vehicle was later discovered in nearby Ulverscroft, poor Duke remains missing.
Arrests Made but Investigation Ramps Up
- An 18-year-old man is in custody, held on suspicion of attempted murder.
- Another 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were arrested for assisting an offender.
- They remain in police custody as probes continue.
- Meanwhile, two men aged 52 and 30, arrested earlier, have been released on bail.
Police Appeal for Information
“While we have arrested three more people, our investigation is still very much continuing,” said Detective Sergeant Jenny Tattersall from the Complex Investigation Team. “I would like to speak to anyone who has information about the incident but has not yet come forward. Any details you’re able to provide could be of great help.”
