Reckless Driver Busted with Drugs and Knuckleduster After Police Chase
Officers stopped a man on Crown Road at around 5pm on Sunday, 7 March 2022. Just as they were about to search his car, he sped off, sparking a high-speed chase.
Wild Pursuit Ends in Arrest
The driver recklessly sped towards Coldharbour Lane, where he tried to make a run for it on foot. Police quickly caught up and conducted a search.
Drugs, Weapons, and Multiple Charges
- Cannabis found — including a suspected Class A drug
- Knuckleduster seized
The suspect, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of:
- Driving while disqualified
- Driving without insurance
- Possession of Class A drugs
- Dangerous driving
- Failing to stop for police
- Possession of an offensive weapon
- Possession of cannabis
He has since been released from custody as enquiries continue.
