Teens Busted in High-Speed Moped Chase After Petrol Station Bilking

Kent Police’s Tactical Firearms Unit caught two teenage moped suspects after a dramatic chase in Dartford on Sunday 13 March 2022.

Stolen Moped Fails to Stop

At around 4.30pm, officers were patrolling near Princes Road when they were tipped off about bilking at a local petrol station. Spotting a stolen moped reported from London, the officers gave chase when the rider ignored their orders to stop, speeding down a one-way street.

Two Teens Arrested for Theft and Robbery

The police stopped the moped near Warren Road. A 14-year-old boy from Dartford and a 15-year-old from Orpington were seized on suspicion of motor vehicle theft.

Both were also arrested for robbery after a teenager claimed he was threatened for his mobile phone earlier that afternoon in Parsons Lane.

Additional Charges for Teen Rider

The 14-year-old faces extra trouble, held on suspicion of making off without payment linked to the initial petrol station bilking.
