Tragedy struck on Lordship Lane, SE22, late Friday night as a woman was fatally stabbed.
Woman Dies After Stabbing on Lordship Lane
Police were called at around 10.10pm on 23 July following reports of a stabbing at a residential address. Officers, alongside the London Ambulance Service, arrived to find a 36-year-old woman with serious stab wounds. Despite emergency treatment, she tragically died in hospital at 2am.
Man Arrested and In Custody
A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently held at a south London police station. Investigators believe the victim and suspect knew each other, though enquiries are ongoing.
Homicide Unit Leads Investigation
The Met’s Specialist Crime homicide detectives have launched a full investigation. They are urging anyone who was in the area or witnessed anything to come forward.
