Heartbreaking: Pensioner Dies After Crash Near Strood

A 73-year-old woman has died in hospital following a collision on the A228 Sundridge Hill near Strood. The tragic crash happened on Friday, 10 January 2020, and involved a grey Citroen C4 Picasso and the pensioner, who was pushing her bicycle at the time.

Victim Airlifted, Later Passes Away

The elderly woman, from Rochester, was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries but sadly passed away on 20 January. The scene is still under investigation by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

Police Renew Plea For Witnesses

A 43-year-old Rochester woman arrested over the collision has been released while inquiries continue. Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
