London Fire Brigade Rescue Car from River
The London Fire Brigade confirmed the car was left on a slipway during low tide, only to be swept away as the water rose. Emergency services, including police and fire crews, rushed to the scene on July 2 around 2:30 PM after receiving reports of a vehicle submerged in the river.
Firefighters successfully recovered the car and dragged it above the high tide mark. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson emphasised the risks of leaving vehicles near the river during tide changes. This incident serves as a harsh reminder: parking on the slipway at low tide can quickly turn into a costly error when the water comes rushing back.
