Local police chief Mark Wanjala confirmed teams are racing to free victims trapped beneath the truck. “We are working fast, but we fear the number of dead might climb,” he warned.
Witnesses reported the truck driver honked wildy before losing control, causing two more victims to be hurled off a bridge into a river below.

The truck was heading towards the Isebania border town to deliver rice into Tanzania when disaster struck. Shocking videos surfaced on social media showing bystanders looting the spilled rice while people remained trapped underneath.
