Tragic Crash on M62 Claims Female Driver’s Life
Fatal Smash Between Car and Lorry
Emergency services rushed to the M62 clockwise carriageway between Junctions 8 and 9 at 8.05am on 11th January 2022. A collision had occurred involving a car and a lorry, which was stationary on the hard shoulder at the time.
Driver Dies at Scene
Paramedics treated the female driver of the car at the scene, but she was sadly pronounced dead shortly afterwards. The stretch of carriageway remains closed as the air ambulance and rescue teams continue their work.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Authorities are urgently asking anyone who saw the crash, especially those with dashcam footage, to get in touch immediately. Please DM quoting incident reference P22007020.
