Woman Stabbed in Broad Daylight on Blanche Walk

Police were called to a stabbing in St Mary’s on Wednesday, June 15, just before 2.30pm.

A 50-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Suspect Description Released

The attacker is believed to be a mixed-race man, about 5ft 10in tall, with an average build. At the time, he was wearing a cap, sunglasses, a black bubble coat, black tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.

Appeal for Witnesses

“We do not believe this was a random attack, nor do we think there is any ongoing risk to the public,” said PC Ebony Millington of GMP’s Oldham CID. “We wish the victim a speedy recovery.”

“Anyone with information—especially dashcam or CCTV footage—from around Blanche Walk is urged to come forward.”
