Masked Gang Rams Co-op in Midnight ATM Heist
Dorset Police are hunting a gang who crashed a black Range Rover into a Co-op on Poole Road, Upton, before snatching an ATM in the dead of night.
The raid happened at 3.43 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Eyewitnesses saw four or five men, all dressed in black, jump out of the vehicle and load the cash machine into their car.
Getaway Car Flees Eastbound on A35
After the smash-and-grab, the gang sped off eastbound along the A35 towards Creekmoor.
Detective Inspector Nicky Jenkins of Dorset County CID said: “We have launched a full investigation and are following several lines of inquiry.”
She added: “I’d like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or noticed suspicious activity nearby.”
Police Urge Public to Check CCTV and Dashcam Footage
Officers are appealing to local residents and drivers to review any home CCTV, doorbell cameras, or dashcam footage around the time of the crime.
Police want to catch any clues that could help track the stolen vehicle or identify the culprits.
