Police Dog Van Crashes After High-Speed Pursuit Near Figheldean
A police dog van smashed into a wall following a sharp bend near Figheldean during a police chase. The high-speed pursuit ended in a dramatic crash that left several injured.
Officer and Teen Taken to Hospital
A police officer suffered head injuries and was airlifted to hospital. Thankfully, the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. A teenage passenger also needed hospital treatment for minor injuries.
18-Year-Old Driver Arrested on Multiple Charges
The driver, an 18-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, dangerous driving, and failing to stop. He remains in police custody for questioning.
Police Dogs Safe and Being Cared For
Thankfully, the police dogs inside the van escaped unharmed. They are being looked after while their handler recovers.
