Morning Madness on Halfway Road: Axe-Wielding Driver Threatens Motorist

Kent Police were called at 5.25am on Monday 22 November 2021 after a motorist reported a terrifying encounter on Halfway Road. The victim said another driver tailgated him, suddenly overtook, then stopped his car.

Axed-Up Aggressor

The suspect then jumped out, waving an axe and making threats. The nightmare didn’t end there – he began following the victim again.

Quick Police Response

The 999 operator advised the victim to drive to a police station. Meanwhile, patrols were dispatched to hunt the suspect’s vehicle. Officers in an unmarked car soon found a matching vehicle and pulled it over.

Weapons Found, Suspect Arrested

Police searched the car and found an axe and a baseball bat. A man in his 20s was arrested for two counts of possessing an offensive weapon and a public order offence. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
