Woman Fatally Stabbed in Cheam, Man Arrested
Police have launched a murder probe after a woman was fatally stabbed in Cheam last Thursday. Officers were called to a disturbance at a Park Road home at 9.55pm on 27 May.
Tragic Scene at Park Road Home
Inside the property, officers found a woman in her 40s with stab wounds. First responders gave first aid before London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance arrived. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at 10.34pm. Next of kin are yet to be informed, and formal identification is still pending. A post-mortem will take place in due course.
Man Arrested on Murder Suspicion
Shortly after the call, police detained a man nearby. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a south London police station. Early indications suggest the man and victim knew each other.
