Hero Bystander Foils Greenhithe Robbery
A brave member of the public stopped an attempted robbery in Greenhithe on Saturday night. Around 7.20pm on January 4, a woman was approached by four men on London Road.
Suspects Demand Woman’s Bankcard and Phone
The gang demanded the woman’s bankcard and phone. One grabbed her coat hood, but the quick-thinking bystander stepped in. The would-be thieves scattered, leaving empty-handed.
19-Year-Old Arrested as Police Investigate
A 19-year-old man was arrested the next morning, January 5, and remains in custody as police continue their inquiries. Officers are keen to track down the good Samaritan who intervened.
