Man Arrested Over Shocking Edgware Rape

A 31-year-old man was snapped up in Hendon on Tuesday, September 19, linked to a brutal rape outside Edgware tube station.

The attack happened in the early hours of Wednesday, September 6. The victim, a man in his 20s, was heading home after a night out with mates when a stranger struck up a chat — before allegedly sexually assaulting him in a nearby car park.

CCTV Break Leads to Arrest

Police had previously released CCTV images of a man they wanted to question. This crucial tip-off helped nab the 31-year-old suspect, who’s now in custody at a North London police station awaiting questioning.

The victim is being supported by specialist officers as the probe continues.
