Teen Shot in Broad Daylight in Corby: 20-Year-Old Arrested for Attempted Murder

A 17-year-old boy was shot in Hazel Wood, Corby, sparking a major police investigation. A 20-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The incident happened on the afternoon of Friday, April 11, 2025, at around 4:15 PM near Westcott Way in Hazel Wood. The teenage victim suffered a gunshot wound and was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, Northamptonshire Police confirm he is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect was arrested three days later on April 14 and remains in custody as detectives continue their inquiries.
