Tragedy on A6: Woman Dead, Two Men Seriously Hurt in Late-Night Crash

Fatal Collision Near Duffield

A serious smash on the A6 near Duffield’s Burley Hill has left one woman dead and two men badly injured. The crash happened just after 11.20pm on Friday, June 3rd, involving two cars.

Victim Identified

Shirley Muirden, 31, from Belper, was rushed to hospital with severe injuries following the collision. Sadly, Shirley died the following day, June 4th. Her family is now receiving support from specialist officers during this heartbreaking time.

Ongoing Investigations and Witness Appeal

The two men involved also suffered serious injuries but are recovering at home. Police closed the A6 to handle the scene and are investigating what caused the crash.
