Man Arrested Over Firearm Offence

Police Urge Calm: No Wider Threat to Public
“In the course of searches we’ve identified something we want to make safe and as a precaution EOD have recommended a 100m cordon. Our priority is the long-term and sustained protection of the public and we needed the item to be tested by a suitably trained person in EOD. At this point in time there is no wider threat to the public.” – Detective Inspector Kev Morley
Traffic Chaos as Roads Close for Bomb Disposal
Connaught Avenue has been shut down, with Plymouth Highways warning of delays around the cordoned-off area. A bomb disposal van was spotted at the scene, with police continuing their investigation amid disrupted traffic.
