Blazing Inferno Destroys Bounds Green Bowling Club
Six fire engines and 40 firefighters rushed to tackle a fierce blaze at a disused bowling club on Blake Road, Bounds Green, late Saturday night.
Clubhouse Reduced to Ashes
The single-storey bowling clubhouse was completely destroyed. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the fiery chaos.
“Crews carried out a systematic search of the property and remained on scene through the night damping down remaining hot spots,” said Station Commander Chris Jenner, who oversaw the operation.
Rapid Response from Multiple Stations
- The London Fire Brigade received 28 emergency calls about the fire.
- The blaze was reported at 6.35pm and brought under control by 8.09pm.
- Fire crews from Southgate, Finchley, Tottenham, Stoke Newington, and nearby stations fought the flames.
Investigation Underway
The London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police are probing the cause of the fire. More updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
