66-Year-Old Woman Arrested in Camden Murder Probe

A 66-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the deadly stabbing of 69-year-old Jennifer Abbott at her Camden home in Mornington Place.

The arrest came on Wednesday, 18 June. The suspect remains in police custody, confirmed the Metropolitan Police.

Victim Jennifer Abbott Found Fatally Stabbed

Jennifer Abbott, a familiar face in the Camden community and often spotted walking her dog, was last seen on Tuesday, 10 June.

Emergency services were called to her home by the London Ambulance Service at 6pm on Friday, 13 June. They found her unresponsive with fatal stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem on Sunday, 15 June confirmed sharp force trauma as the cause of death.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Barry Hart of Homicide Command said: “Our deepest sympathies are with the victim’s loved ones who are being supported by specialist officers at this time.

We thank the local community for their patience as we continue to investigate this shocking crime. This arrest marks a significant step forward.

Locals can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while we conduct our enquiries.”

Officers are urging anyone with information or who saw suspicious activity around Mornington Place between 10 and 13 June to come forward immediately.
