Officials want to speak to a man caught causing chaos during a shoplifting attempt at Morrison’s petrol station on Portsmouth Road.

On Thursday 7 January, around 7.20pm, a man grabbed several items from the store and tried to make a sneaky getaway without paying. Staff stopped him, but the suspect turned nasty – smashing COVID screens and threatening a worker with a bottle before dashing off on a red bicycle.

  • Age: Between 25 and 35
  • Skin: Tanned
  • Height: About 5ft 10ins
  • Hair: Black
  • Wearing: Black jogging bottoms, black jacket, black rucksack
