Child Airlifted After Shocking Church Burn Incident in Croydon
A young boy has been rushed to hospital with serious burns following a distressing incident at a church in Croydon this afternoon.
Addiscombe Catholic Church Sealed Off
Police swooped on Addiscombe Catholic Church on Bingham Road after emergency services were called at 2.21pm today. The Met and London Air Ambulance teams arrived swiftly to the scene.
Christmas Event Ends in Tragedy
The child had been attending a Christmas event at the church when the burns occurred. An adult was also injured but thankfully their wounds are not believed to be serious.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers are assisting with an incident at a Croydon church.
London Ambulance Service alerted police following reports of the injuries at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church.
