A car’s windscreen was smashed in a terrifying incident at around 4.15pm on Sunday, 21 January 2024. It happened near the junction for Wrotham Heath, close to the A227 Borough Green Road bridge over the M26.

Reckless Object Thrown at Moving Vehicle

Reports say an unknown object was hurled at the vehicle as the driver passed under the A227 bridge. Emergency patrols rushed to the scene but failed to track down any suspects.

Police Warn of Deadly Danger, Appeal for Witnesses

“Throwing anything at a moving vehicle is reckless and malicious,” said Detective Sergeant Graham Norman. “To throw something from a bridge at a moving car could easily kill someone. In this case, the driver was with two young children who must have been terrified as the car was forced onto the hard shoulder.”

Thankfully, no one was hurt. Police are now asking the public for help.
