Violent Brawl Erupts in Westminster – Police Hunt Witnesses
Detectives have launched an urgent appeal after a brutal fight broke out between two groups in Westminster. The violent clash unfolded at the Churchill Estate, SW1, on Thursday night, 11 June.
Chaos on the Churchill Estate
Police rushed to the scene at 8pm following reports of a large group brawling. On arrival, officers found around ten men locked in a savage fight.
Two Men Arrested Amid Mayhem
An 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Both were hauled to a central London police station but have since been released on bail, due to return in early July.
A man in his 40s was left battered with injuries to his face, neck, and back.
Police Search for Eyewitnesses and Footage
Several witnesses reportedly filmed the violent tussle on their phones. Detective Constable Laura Guise of the Central West Basic Command Unit pleaded for those holding footage to come forward.
“We are aware that a number of people witnessed this violent attack. I would ask anyone who may have seen this incident and has footage on their phone to contact me.”
