Brutal Rolex Robbery on Hydethorpe Road Shocker
Just after 11pm on Thursday, 24 February, a man was savagely attacked while walking along Hydethorpe Road, SW12. A masked male assailant crept up from behind and struck the victim multiple times on the head with a weapon. The attacker then violently ripped a Rolex watch from the victim’s wrist.
Victim Suffers Fractured Skull in Terrifying Assault
The brutal beating left the victim with a fractured skull and deep lacerations to his head and face. He spent several days in hospital recovering from the horrific injuries.
Police Hunt Dark-Clad Cyclist with South London Accent
The suspect was seen dressed in all dark clothing with his face covered. He was reportedly riding a pedal cycle equipped with a flashing front light. Witnesses say he spoke with a South London accent.
Detective Inspector Vicky Allen, Central South Robbery Team, said: “This was a terrifying and violent attack and it is only through luck that the victim did not sustain more serious injuries. We are doing everything we can to identify this individual and take him off our streets.”
