Car Rams Co-op in Early Morning Smash-and-Grab Attempt
Kent Police were called at 5:20am on Monday 27 November after a vehicle deliberately reversed into a Co-op store on The Row, causing major damage. The smash wrecked the store’s front and a cash machine. The green Mitsubishi Shogun, with silver bumpers and a spare wheel on the back, fled the scene before officers arrived. Fortunately, nothing appears to have been stolen.
Serious Crime Unit Takes Over Investigation
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is leading the probe. Police want local residents and anyone nearby to check their doorbell and CCTV footage for clues. Drivers with dashcams are urged to review their recordings for any relevant sightings.
